Open Naming Issues

The CSSWG would greatly appreciate any good suggestions / improvements on the naming / syntax of the following features:

• :any-link
• subject indicator
• drag-and-drop pseudo-classes, see thread
• :matches, see thread

The four flow-relative directions, start/end/before/after, are somewhat confusing right now. Proposals for better names are therefore solicited. Note they are used in grid-item placement.

Current suggestions:

• start/end/before/after (Option 0)
• start/end/start/end (Option 1)

• The ::distributed() pseudo-element

• width/fill descriptor

• text-combine-horizontal, suggestions are: force-horizontal?

• Moving grid-template, grid-definition-rows, grid-definition-columns under common prefix. Proposal
  • grid-template-slots
  • grid-template-rows
  • grid-template-columns
  • grid-template as shorthand (using syntax from Bert's Template Layout draft)
• Syntax of track listings (particularly with named lines)
